grease guns for a dairy farmer

Well I crumpled under the peer pressure and bought a Milwaukee grease gun, £220 with 5amp battery and a rapid charger, i retract my praise of the speedy grease gun air locks far too often for a ‘premium’ grease gun.

including VAT! No bag or box etc and not massively ethical as via amazon.

Sounds a good price as I’ve seen them advertised at £250 .............I assumed plus vat but now I’m not sure.

Other thing is how much juice do these grease guns use? The ones I see advertised with batteries all seem to be 5 amp for what I’d have thought would be a low power requirement application yet my drill and driver kit came with 4 amp batteries for tools that I would have presumed would need more power

You’ll use an awful lot of grease before you run out of power with a 5ah battery!

Has anyone tried a converter so a makita battery will fit a milky way grease gun?
I don't really want moro batteries nor another charger, seems a waste.

I carted round bales from my furthest field in 2018 with the loadall and trailer.
1 mile up hill from the field to home, 3 bales on the trailer, and one on the front of the loadall, throttle to the floor all the way home, if i remember right it was 4.5 litres an hour, its bloody great on fuel.

You can get them on ebay, I think I'd rather spend the money on a genuine battery, they're not cheap.

It’s an AK build Perkins,one of the best.?

Totted up my 2013 JCB powered loadall fuel use and it came in a 3.54 litres per hour,think it must have run on tick over before I got it as I thought it was thirsty compared to my older Perkins powered loadalls.
