green star 2630 AutoTrac activation lost

Hi all,

I have a 1 month old JD6195M that came with a SF6000 receiver and 2630 screen with SF1 and autotrac activated. The driver told me that out of nowhere, yesterday the autotrac pie dissapeard from the screen. After checking the autotrac diagnostics, it seems that i don't have an autotrac license anymore. Looking in the Greenstar activations page, autotrac is inactive and it also states that "This software is not activated"

I talked to the dealer i got it from but they are not very experienced with the GPS side of things.. and it might take them a while to sort it.

Has this happened to anyone else? could it have been a temporary license? Can i do something or is it a case of a new activation code?

It was probably running on the 15h free demo instead of a full activation! If you’ve ordered it with an activation the dealer will have a comar number from the order. Chances are if they don’t know to much about it, they have not ordered the activation code. If it’s in the deal make sure they sort it out.

Ps, it’s around £1200 for an autotrack activation and is usually itemised on the invoice.

It did cross my mind that it was a temp license but i've been using it for about a week and that's more than 15 hours. Autotrac is in the deal so i guess i'll just have to push their buttons until they sort it out.

It only clocks up the 15h while your using it not tractor run time so doesn’t count turning etc. It’s suprising just how long the demo will last.

I could be wrong but it’s the most likely scenario to be honest.
Also the dealer should know if they’ve entered the activation code or not as a 2630 doesn’t come with any activations they’re all ordered by the dealer and entered at pdi.

I’m surprised at that I’ve limited experience of other makes of gps, but have had our set up 7 years now and our JD dealer was and is still extremely good with that side of things.

Check my location... not all dealers are the same. As Phil P said, they probably forgot to enter the activation code.
