Morning all, in January our local JD dealer said we needed an update on our star fire 3000 with 2600 screen. We bought this new in 2013 with our combine. We have a bracket and harness set up on our Fendt 718 and transfer the kit between the combine and the tractor as needed. He brought down a memory stick with him and did the update. Ever since then the set up has not been working correctly. We always use it on SF1 we are in west Suffolk on the fen and always have a good signal. The sat signal will build up to about 3/4 of the way and work the steering ok but then all of a sudden loose the signal totally. The tractor then doesn’t know if it’s going backwards or forwards. Sometimes it does get up to a full green bar but then looses it. And other times it will just be a red or yellow bar some of the way. He wondered if it was the wiring loom so has replaced it, we tried it last week but unfortunately it’s still doing the same. he did say their getting trouble with the3000 and 2600 screen since the update in feb, just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and solved it? He says the only other option is to upgrade the receiver and screen?? Doesn’t seem fair as when it was sold to us it was something that would always be updated without having to change the hardware. Photos were before the wiring loom change. @CPP
