Greenstar replacement on John Deere CTS ?

Friend has display problem on Greenstar monitor in CTS, can he replace it with any Greenstar brown box ? I mean, does it have any activations in order to work for combine functions ? He uses that just for pure combine display.

If its just displaying the machine data you should be able to use any screen .

Ok thanks. I have found one brand dew Greenstar which was not used so you think it should be good for that ? I know that JD has those basic unlocks etc

SF1 and SF2 unlocks are in the receiver, not the display. Might be worth asking your dealer just to confirm.

No he does not have any antenna or anything. He needs it just for combine settings. But I just want to know if it can be without any functionality.
