There you go, all the fancy protocols and green energy initiatives have failed, time to recycle the carbon that is already out there.

What a stupid statement to make. Did you really think any green initiative would instantly reverse the effects of decades of fossil fuel usage. Even if they stopped all fossil fuel usage tomorrow I would predict it would still take decades before significant reductions are seen.

I always know I'm cutting close to the bone with the pseudo greens when you start squawking and flapping about.

It does make you wonder doesn’t it, despite all the measures taken to reduce carbon it keeps on increasing, where is the extra coming from?
China is a major culprit but as developing countries continue to develop their burning of fossil fuels tends to rise. The question is what right have we in the west to demand that they don't, seeing as that's how we built our prosperity?

Chinese coal power stations ,and the many others that have and are being built right now

I saw in Sunday’s Times that Jeremy Clarkson claimed to have a Climate Change epiphany as the river he was trying to jet boat across was a puddle. No mention of the multitude of dams - Chinese and other - blocking the waterway.

Another interesting fact: China has produced more steel in the last two years than Britain has EVER done. Think about that Greta

Really So if thats the case why is coal declining.

Big difference between building coal power stations and actually using them.

You should read the reports you link to rather than chiding others for not doing so -

The main counteracting force is from continuing increases in coal generation in south-east Asia, but demand from these countries is still small relative to the global total.

We were in Siem Reap a few years back, the water had receded several miles as it does every year leaving boats, land and wildlife high and dry. It is a yearly cyclical thing and the Mekong flows two ways according to the season

Clarkson should have mentioned dams as the probable cause rather than Climate Change

A very valid point, one difference being that when we were at it there wasn’t the awareness that there is today. But worse, much worse is the hypocrisy of countries that preach about the lowering of emissions at home and the gains they are making then promptly import products from countries made in a way that they wouldn’t allow.
To my mind the hypocrisy of the developed nations is worse than the emissions from the developing nations.
There’s a cost to reducing carbon footprint but not many want to pay it.
