No it will not. End of discussionYou do when keeping them on longer than you should - the cutter generates heat whilst being ground, the heat is always intensified at the tips as it is the area of least metal. It doesn't damage the cutter (as long as you don't go too far with it), and is a quick way to see if you're doing anything wrong.
Every grinding technique will blue the tips
Only tips I blue are cutters for other people that they've had since the seventies or eighties of spurious makes/designs that have long since gone and that's usually as the pressure point wasn't set up modern pendulums and they tip grind from the off.No it will not. End of discussion
You need to either
- less pressure applied through pendulum
- less swipes across the paper
- change papers more often
- ensure that cutter is landing absolutely flat on the disc
any luck that way .... how long yer leaving it clamped and then how long before. trying to grind
not been 24hrs yet will open him up later.any luck that way .... how long yer leaving it clamped and then how long before. trying to grind
know one time had a prob with glue setting was too cold and glue not going off fully before trying to grind
I ordered some stuff from Horners last week. Asked them for a 500ml pot of their own glue. Lass asked if I wanted Horners or Heinegar. Don't mind I replied, was going to try your own. She said we'll send you Heinegar. Both the same price anyway. Bit of a lack of confidence in their own stuff maybe.took it off ,no good, fairly big bubble again its not always in the same place either.
will have to try some Heiniger glue i suppose, and /or bite the bullet and get a new clamp.
..
funnyily enough i almost think its not quite as stcky even as copydex ,even though it seems like the same otherwise ?I ordered some stuff from Horners last week. the old 14 inch clamp used on the 141/2 inch new disc is the problem i think will have to get a new single clamp for it someitme i reckon.be interesting what happen with older plate
the older plate im guessing groves on it maybe too much glue on newer flat plate
got me buggered to be fair why not sticking more glue not the answer in alot of cases
my plates here older steel ones with rust and groves it's like the worlds strongest man comp to get the papers off
Always store your papers flat amd preferably somewhere dry like the house . Same with your glue . Glue thatās been left out in shed all winter n maybe been frosted wonāt stick worth a f&Ā£kBig bubble one area
No papers not stored flat curled right up had them awhile, clean no dust tho will get some new ones.
but glue didnt go off at all before because it was clamped straight away.
back along tried a 'pre glued one' and that popped off as well wont buy any more of them.
