We were planting half an acre of no-till spuds on the site, whilst George Simon was getting on planting cover crops for the drills to work in and I suddenly remembered that we hadn't announced this on the Forum. So get on and book yourselves some tickets...it's bigger and better than ever. Lots of speakers for those thinking of doing a bit of no-till and wanting advice and also for those who want to take things to the next level. More details later...

Is the first day more livestock orientated again?
Not really, we've integrated livestock into both days, so it doesn't matter which day you come...we've got Greg Judy over from the USA, he's a great mob grazer and he'll be speaking on both days. The PFLA are organising a couple of panel discussions on various livestock issues, like breeding animals suitable for pasture fed systems.

I'm also really excited to hear Dan Kittredge, who has a lot to say on the subject of health (soil, plant, animal and human) and is developing an interesting gizmo which I think will change the focus of food production worldwide. We've got the fabulous Ademir Calegari, all the way from Brazil, who knows more about cover crops than everybody apart from God. There will be four different talks going on at any one time, so you'll inevitably miss more than you'll see, but a lot of people have already booked for both days to catch as much as they can.

We've got a few extra drills a-drilling this year too, like the much discussed Triton. There will also be machinery talks going on in the Soil tent in the demo field, including the great Graham Edwards who promises to challenge basic tractor design...on a similar note the Small Robot Company will be there talking too.

If you have any interest in the future of agriculture, you can't really afford to miss Groundswell this year!

Nice to see our agronomist working in the background whilst you took the photo. 25c and he’s still got his neoprene lined wellies on!

Quite the line up, I am jealous. Bit too far for me at the moment

FYI, The Groundswell Schedule is going live this Friday, just as soon as we've worked out a way to squeeze all the speakers into two days.

Not sure if @martian mentioned it earlier but there'll be improved camping facilities this year too, inc showers, for those coming from further afield. BYO yurt..

See the full list of speakers here: https://groundswellag.com/speakers

I'm going on the first day. Sadly, I've got a meeting back in Dorset the following day.

The only bad bit is that you've got so many good people talking in 3 rooms at once! :)

Hoping to go up for both, give me call when you’re there. Edit-now booked.

I have been trying to purchase tickets but it asks me for my email address then tells me that it is invalid and will not proceed.

Is there any other way to buy them?

Booked our tickets today. Looking forward to it.
How are the no till potatoes coming along?
The straw on the potatoes feels very dry until you rummage down...the spuds are shooting away nicely, but haven't broken cover. There's a nice humid environment for them at ground-level so we'll see what happens

I've had a word with our IT Department (aka Alex) who says he's tried your email and it seems to work ok and I think he's spoken to you. You can always ring the number on the website if you have trouble.

I'd love to come, awaiting delivery of a new drill, but can only come for the morning of the first day due to other commitments. Will that be long enough to be useful?
