It's taken a bit of time, but we've now got a schedule of speakers up on the Groundswell website:
There will be some amendments, but nothing major (I hope). Like we've just heard George Monbiot will be there on the Wednesday, so we'll squeeze him in somewhere.

I hope those of you who've bought tickets already like the look of it...
Can you squeeze Monbidiot into one of the soil pits and fill it afterwards please. The man is dangerous fascist eco loon. I see no point giving him the oxygen of publicity let alone a platform to speak.

Is there a better day for an Arable farmer to go ?
Not really. Much of the value is in the conference sessions and the informal chats to other attendees. Look through the sessions on each day and choose the day with the most interesting ones for you.

The demos and exhibitors will be the same both days.

Can you get George Monbiot to come to Ben Macdonald's talk so he can learn the importance of grazing animals and wooded pasture to save me asking GM why he doesn't know already?

I'd imagine they'd be aware of each other.

For me Monbiot has gone too rogue now. His "solution" is going to be the least likely to be taken up, why? Because its hairshirt (not for him because he can write about it and not do it) and its just not what the majority want in their lives and so its not remotely going to happen. Its all very well talking about revolutions but they need to sustain themselves on people being able to better themselves or their circumstances, not people being harangued that everything is wrong with the status quo from an desk based perspective.

But the likes of Benedict McDonald and others are much more worth listening too. I'd rather hear of a campaign to get rid of rats than agriculture - that would have a way more big bang for wildlife.

If you want food at Groundswell 22.. pre book it.. ask Deliveroo to collect it... then pay them on delivery to your straw bale on site... or bring a pot noodle and a solar kettle for instant gratification

Also, tickets are going fast...if you want a Wednesday only ticket, then you probably ought to get on with it. We'll keep some double day tickets back after we stop selling Wednesday only ones, but it is all kicking off a bit.

Also - do you pick all of the speakers ? Or are some picked for you? Noticed you’ve got a young farmer talking about their struggle to get into ag and regen farming etc etc . And there would be about 1000 people better suited to speak on that one! Plenty of which are on here!
