Groundswell Show 2022

2022 Thoughts.

Music from the Disco was too loud and pretty awful! I did not speak with any person who liked it... I admit to being a grumpy bugger when it comes to loud music, but I want a bar to be somewhere I can converse with fellow attendees.

Good choice of food vendors all 3 nights.

Some exceptional Speakers and Talks... again. I had 4-5 I really wanted to attend and did so. Then there is the odd random presentation when I drop in the tent for 5 mins, and stop for 60 minutes.

Lots more little stalls, some a bit random , but everyone enjoys talking which is a joy when there are so few actually trying to flog me something (y)

Lots of TFF'ers about which is great to put faces to handles

So my thanks to the Cherry family again fore a great couple of days. and serious respect to the young Couple I was chatting with this late afternoon who were going for a good shower etc, before roughing it at Glasto :D

Sterling performance from @holwellcourtfarm in the big top earlier, he got his points across to the MPs. Let's hope they take them on board.

Would have said hello but you looked to be swamped by journalists.

Agree, exceptional.

Bookending the event Ian... Wed am and Thursday pm. :)
Thanks guys. Feedback is appreciated (both positive and negative). (y)

I was a bit swamped after this afternoon! :ROFLMAO: The Groundswell team organiser for the Big Top had to ask me to move outside so they could start the next session....

I made some good contacts as a result and 3 staff from Harper Adams (I was there 1985 - 1988) asked me if I would give a presentation to the students on their new "Sustainable Agriculture" degree some time.

I am just trying to say the things that the politicians need to hear but don't get from the ususal representatives of UK agriculture.

Great to meet so many TFFers again, even if I didn't manage to catch up with @Badshot

I probably met quite a few more without realising it too.

I really nejoyed the show this year, especially the random conversations which are where the REAL strength of Groundswell lies imho.

I was sorry to see a certain amount of litter lying around this time unlike past years. I even cleared some into bins myself a few times rather than just ignore it. Maybe it needed a few more bins about across the site?

Not sure how I will fit it in or get there but count me in for 2023....
