Really enjoyed both days again this year, happy there was more catering stands this time. Could've done with a few more bins around the site and quite enjoyed the music in the evening.
Would say that I wouldn't want the event much larger as it will lose the community feel of the event and let more stands in that are unrelated to the ethos of Groundswell.

Awesome couple of days.
As Sam says very nerve wrecking going up on stage in front of a very unexpected full house but thoroughly enjoyed it in the end.
the number of folk that collared me over the next day or so was unreal that just wanted to talk about cows and cell grazing and what/why/how was unprecedented.
big thanks to rest of the panel

One suggestion for the caming area would be to mark clear ring roads through the area. If the worst happened, it would allow better emergency access and the rest of the time it would provide guyline free routs to the facilities. There was at least one spot where several tents appeared and then moved during the event.

See, it doesn't HAVE to be scary ;) (y)

Just don't bulls**t.

Ever.

Period.

You just end up looking and feeling stupid.

That's my wisdom after 30 years of various public speaking.

Agree with this. Really really enjoyed it, but def a bit of a different vibe creeping in. Slightly more of a 'county show' feel at times. Possibly just due to more event/trade stand 'staff' about and a lower % of farmers making up the attendees. Still, as said very good fun and educational as ever. Would just be a shame to see it go down the same route as a lot of these kind of events. I dont want to be sold stuff, I want to be sold an idea and an ethos!

The only thing, I am definitely going to buy that was for sale at Groundswell, I didn't get round to ordering ~ Exlana tup

I tried to get OH interested in this, particularly reading that the host farm had reduced its fertiliser application with no loss of yield.

However, this takes place at a great time for arable farmers, but not for livestock farmers as we are in the middle of silage and hay making.
Oh yes indeedy!

I finished baling Tuesday at 4pmin front of the ( non-existent,as it turned out) forecast heavy rain... Went and turned the bales this afternoon a bit, to allow a bit more sweating out on the field, if needed!! Last year, I got the wrapper in to be safe...

I am afraid that as a late arrival on Tuesday, I was one of the naughty "quiet loving" campers, up near the exit paddock. Very happy there too and worth the wander for the loos and to get on-site. ;) Camped there before so the car just went on autopilot.

I do agree on your point of the access to tents etc. I thought on my meander around when looking for a working shower on Wed evening, that the pitch locations were definitely very "organic".... No Autosteer straight lines for sure. :)

Like wise in chosen tent pitching spots by the exit point. Call me lazy but I enjoy having my vehicle next to tent for phone charging and air bed inflating. Disappointed to find showers out of action Wednesday evening, as a result decided not to go back to bar:cry: my loss. Next year will get myself sorted for tuesday evening arrival, early start wednesday morning also left me shattered.

Bridget and Henrietta presentation into Microbial Solutions for our soils was very interesting, sadly they were in The Land Gardeners Tent which was way too small and not recorded

Thank you to the Cherry family for another great show.

Nice place. Nice people and good fun..thank you Cherries...
Good knowledge to take away from this year was... Salesmen and Cheshire cats are friends... NFU and Politicians are friends and that you should always only be able to count your best friends on less than 5 fingers....
Good luck to you all (farmers) on the road ahead🤔

Agreed its a busy time. But I'm not sure any other time would be any better. Just got to say "right, I'm going." And make it happen. It is only 1 or 2 days. If it was the only dry week in an otherwise wet summer I may have to reconsider...🤔

But a brilliant time as usual. Thanks to all the team and the speakers. Made my normal mistake of not studying the line up well enough and missing some bits I'd like to have seen. Big part of it for me is the chat and discussions with other people on the regen journey. The positivity and encouragement is invaluable. 😊

Tuesday evening was heaving when I arrived at 21:15
