This looks like a very good exhibition/Show. We are losing a lot of our actives and costs on the conventional methods are going through the roof. I have the second largest Biodynamic Organic farm next door, run by a family that have made money another way,(a bit like Jody). But!! £60 is a lot of money! Can I justify the cost and can I get round everything in a day? @Clive @Chris F

Go. It'll be the best £60 you've spent in years.

Nowhere else in the UK will you find so much help and information in one place at one time.

Just the conversations with other attendees is worth the entry fee.

If you want a flavour go to the Groundswell youtube channel and you can see videos of the speakers from past years FOC.

It’s different to most shows as there is very little to “get round”. The trade stands here are really not the focus and it’s much more of a conference with many of the best speakers in regen Ag on tap

could well be the best £60 you ever spend imo

Also, looking at your forum name, it started out aimed squarely at arable farms but had a very mixed farm content now. There's as much about livestock systems and opportunities as arable.

It's a genuinely mind opening experience.

Like the old Grassland demo, there really needs to be regional spin-offs to save folk traveling so far.

Groundswell South West?
Groundswell Wales?
Groundswell North?
Groundswell Scotland?

The problem with that, is you divide people, and end up only talking to folk from one are, the power of these kind of things, is it draws people together from around the country.

I hope it is a very dull day!! Weatherwise, like I hope cereals is. I am allergic to UV so Sun hat and gloves are a must and I even have an excuse to wear a bandana this year. If you see a terrorist look alike it is probably ME.!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Groundswell , learnt a bit about ''organic farming with chemical options '' ;) and was really pleased to see so many enthusiastic people engaging/discussing/sharing stories (good and bad) about their farming practices

Also really impressed by the Tuesday evening tour of https://www.kaiapoi.co.uk/ farm ---inspirational farming from Jo & Rob Hodgkins (even if they do have weird woolly sheep )

Brilliant event from both farmer and exhibitor point of view. No other event has the number and range of speakers on different subjects that it does. There was so much to look at to provoke debate. Interest to see what started out as a small niche event is now very much coming into the mainstream. There were a lot of 'conventional' farmers who had come along to look at what bits of re-gen farming could be used in their systems. The whole event is a real breath of fresh air, good to see it being organised on a farm, by a farming business and not being done for pure commercial gain by a rip off corporate. A big well done to the organisers and all who attended. Nobody will have come away from that event without learning something useful, and probably also having a good time meeting up with friends, neighbours etc.
