Just seen Grove on the news, clearly not answering the questions asked over uk standards / Australian standards.Someone tell me who is going to buy our beef ,considering uk buyers play foot and loose over pricing. It’s no good to keep saying uk is the best and our standards are high while allowing products into this country not having to follow the same rules as us.It will come down to price and we all know where that will end.Boris you rely on rural votes well don’t again.

The is supposed to be a 15 year lead time on this deal, I don’t think anybody needs to panic just yet. Aussie meat has been selling into the Far East for higher prices than ours here, and it’s a lot shorter trip. Saw an interview with an Aus trader said ‘why would we send it to you cheaper?

Because China are hiking tariffs on goods from certain countries on a whim, why? Because they can, just like the supermarkets/ supplier relationships, countries are falling over each other to supply them.

Does he have an annoying neurotic sniff, or was I hearing things? I once worked with a boss like that. I used to have a bet with myself how many seconds until the next sniff. If I hadn't done that, I think I would happily have strangled him! The average was about 15 seconds as I recall....

If there was a half decent opposition I can’t see any farmer voting Tory again, abolished farm support and opened up our markets to all and sundry in one term. But that’s a big if.

Did you reckon you could strangle him in 15 then? I reckon (metaphorically of course) I could try with G(r)ove but he's so slippery he'd get away
