Growth reg spring barley

In ideal conditions that lot might all be ok, given the stress these crops are likely to be under from the heat on days like today I doubt spraying all of it on in 1 go will make it looks particularly happy for a while.

Absolutely. I would not do it. I would decide what needed doing first and do that. The remainder can happen later. Mixing graminicides and SUs is not a good idea.

What are peoples thoughts on fung and spring barley. Have herbicide to go on. Looks dry and warm til at least end of next week. Not the worse crop but certainly is not a record breaker.

If it does rain am I running the risk of it growing like stink and disease getting away?

Tbh not gonna bother, but asking opinion just to back up the decision I have already made ??

but if and when it does rain the barley will shoot through it's growth stages quickly and disease will be rampant, so pays ya money and takes ya chance ?‍♂️
If anything like 2018 it won't be susceptible to disease if it races through growth stages. Ours had awns out at ankle height. No biomass. Canopy open.

As mentioned on other thread secondary growth biggest problem when it does rain.

Was through ours this morning, delighted with how its looking. Think the agronomist will be wanting to give some of it more pgr. It had cc750 with weed spray. But some of it is very lush. Flag leaf fully out now.

I won't bother unless weather looks like turning wet.

It's one field that had a lot of muck and other had cows outwintered on forage rape that looks worst. Your right that one will be okay.
Ours haven’t had herbicide yet very open now and struggling. Think flag leaf approaching. Going to do it I think, put a bit of ctl,mn and mag on last week.

Thanks everyone for your help I just needed to bounce the pros and cons of the idea around rather than just take an agronomist word for it
However weather isant what I thought might happen so plan no longer required even this weeks rain has missed us so will have to re evaluate again in a few days [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
