Is there a cheaper option to paying just shy of £2k for a set of injectors for a tier 3 Jcb 536-60 🤔 £491.81 each from dealer
JCB shuttle lever for a teletruk £492.29 and 3-5days for delivery, not what you want to hear late on a Tuesday for machine in daily use!
Sounds like a quality part price until you open it up, thread for internal wires and a contact had broken up, reshaped a brass fuse holder from a 13amp plug and back in action few hours later

That's progress, when pencil type injectors for JD 6000 series can be had for£30 each.
JCB probably didn't manufacture the fuel system,even if it's their own engine. Bit of searching will be profitable time.

I remember a fuel forwarding pump for the Sanderson forklift was something like £250. One off eBay for a Ford Fiesta did the job for a tenth of the price.
Dad got a stone in the MF 525 and bent the rasp bars to buggwury. Quoted £800 for a new set. Built himself a press and straightened the old ones for about £20.
If we had to rely on main dealer parts and service we would have been bust years ago.
Same here, I don’t know how un practical People survive especially on marginal places .

are we talking about a new casting as well ?
I had a new casting. Funny how "we've never had one of them" turned into "we'll knock 25% off" when I showed them an invoice for someone who had the exact same repair. It wasn't the AC unit that was knackered though.

OSR plates for vario header that the combine tried to eat five years ago. About £1100 each and that was for a 6m.
Piece of flat tin with a bit of 1 inch angle tacked to it
I had that pain a few years ago , cutting linseed and frequent reverse unblocking bent all plates on a 9 m header , best part of 4K to replace and as you say basically bent flat plate and a few bits tack welded on.
[Actually it was the plates that stay on all the time on the vario ,not the filler plates for OSR}

Quote was for brand new , complete unit to bolt in including casting .
Something had come undone resulting in damaged gears and bearing causing damage to casting as well .
You're still miles out with the quote .
