Was that WB x WBS? That cross was known as something but I can't remember whatWB x Shorthorn used be a fairly common cross with sucklers around here years ago, they used to be that grey colour too
When my old man milked he used to put beef shorthorn on Fresian cows an they’d come that slate grey colour, make good suckler’s!WB x Shorthorn used be a fairly common cross with sucklers around here years ago, they used to be that grey colour too
View attachment 961401This is the boy after tipping his food over again, so annoying!! That calf is a one off, the others are good strong calves but not spivvy like her! Nothing special about the mother just quite ordinary beefshorthorn heifer, just a throw back I suppose
Yeah he’s Belgian blue x so that’s where the shape an colour come from, as primmi said he’s got the head an coat of the WB and the strong feet an legs too!! Nice shape from the BB, these are his first calves with me, he’s been out all winter on kale an straw with the heifers, just brought him in for testing!A Wesh Black? Really? With blue/grey markings and white belly? He's got more shape than a WB too..
