won't it fight with the assured stuffNo it was a full 29 ton load , just picked up from next door the day before. I’m saying that once they found it wasn’t assured, they didn’t tip it back off at the farm. It was wangled into the mill

The non assured stuff will win as it be leaner, meaner and fitter as it hasn’t spent half it’s time sat in an office getting fat and lazy doing pointless paperwork which no one apart from the red tractor inspector wants to see!won't it fight with the assured stuff
RT inspector has not once ever asked to see my growing crops. Just interested in checking my self-declared records exist. The non assured stuff will win as it be leaner, meaner and fitter as it hasn’t spent half it’s time sat in an office getting fat and lazy doing pointless paperwork which no one apart from the red tractor inspector wants to see!
No chance of that. Got to be fit to go crop walking.RT inspector has not once ever asked to see my growing crops. Just interested in checking my self-declared records exist.
I actually think AHDB are going to inwardly digest what we've been saying. It's smarr to listen, and evolve your policies.
Don't know if NFU can bring themselves to change tact. We'll have to see. They've shown little sign thus far, although Tom Bradshaw gets the issue.
AIC and RT won't want Christmas, but any unwillingness to reform might cause the downfall of our AHDB. They must be mindful of this. That's a heavy weight to carry on your conscience inperpetua.
Yes, you are getting conned then buying supposedly RT feed but all ingredients could be imported! As a buyer of 00s of tonnes of feed, it feels like a hell of a premium to me ...
Try Graindex£16/t for the last lot of feed wheat I sold

That's because the ahdb know their days are numbered otherwise.
Infact, I'd go so far as to say their days are numbered anyway. Too late to save face.
I dont understand NFU politics and internals - presumably their financial reserve belongs to the members, and if it's too large for its needs then the members could vote for a distribution.....
Iirc it was 1992 when I stopped our Nfu membership , ( after a lot of consideration) its certainly saved us an awful lot if money in that time, coupled with leaving the nfu mutual for insurance a year or 2 after , would certainly buy sports cars if that's what I wanted to indulge myself in but no, I'm not that sort of person....lol.
We've not heard a peep out of Minette have we.Tom Bradshaw might get the issue but it’s the Queen Bee that’s the problem in eliciting any change in NFU approach to RT.
They've made the same mistake as NFU (see comments above). Wrong policy, and sleep walked into a mess, putting their levy payers at a competitive disadvantage. That's because the ahdb know their days are numbered otherwise.

Don't suppose she'll want to come out from under her duvet, just in case it's not a bad dream.
If you've been hell bent on supporting RT, you look a bit of a fool now it's been pointed out that you've actually been complicit in creating a situation which makes it easier for your competitors to access your home markets.
It's incompetent policy, and it was obvious. It didn't need a genius to work it out.

Absolute opposite of what a development board should have achieved.
RT has not given one single advantage to UK farmers. Just extra cost, and diminished market access if you're non-assured.
Then when we look at the RT and SQC ownership structures, members of the SQC cooperative, board members at RT, this turns into conflict of interests.
I see. There was a significant conflict of interest whilst Minette was sitting on the main RT board. The position which is a given to represent ALL the farming unions, not just NFU, is now held by Stuart Roberts. It took some considerable time to get Minette to accept the conflict and relinquish the position.
Apparently, the new CEO of the NFUM really does not want to lose the core of their business from Farmers, which is... reassuring... I hope.
