Liquid screed for me every time now.
Quicker and only marginally more expensive.
Better if using under floor heating as no air gaps around pipes.
Walk on it in 24hrs, level with a nice finish if cross tamped.
My last floor laid was 123sq.m @60mm cost £2100, sand and cement quote was only a couple hundred less. No brainer.
Like your conversion keep the photos coming.
Cheers
Cider
The build was a bit more organised than the pictures

I have a floor screed very soon and one guy who is who is giving me a price wants to do it with a sand and cement base screed it will be 70 5MM thick and he has quoted me a fair bit less for this than a liquid screed which would you choose the sand cement base one was roughly half the cost most of the building Floors will be tiled afterwards one room is 8.5 M by 5.2 and I would appreciate your thoughts
Flo screed everytime,makes tiling easy

For the flow test of the screed.....does anyone have measurements of the cylinder and diameter of spread needed to test the slump....not wanting to purchase the kit for just 1 DIY job. Thanks

It's through a supplier...ready mixed and delivered.... Wanting to test the slump prior to pouring
Well they test it on a plasic board with various sized circles ,the pot looked around a litre capacity and the spread was about a 12 to 14 inch circle ish ,
You have all the tripods for depth and a pump ?
Then do uou have the spray to seal the surface, plus yhe tamping irons and tamping brush ?

Can get the truck right to the point of discharging into the room which is 32m2...might make up some tripods but can't see the need with a good laser level set up ........dapple bars look nothing special......haven't come across the spray for the surface.

did you have move the concreate much once in , or did it run through the rooms
Well we set 10 tripods up on the laser so we knew what level we were working too. Normally it's pumped in but we just backed up the middle window that was removed so we used placers to pull it to the corners. It will run and self level to a degree but not like water. It has quite a bit of grit in it. I decided on thermio+. First time I had used it. Quite straight forward really . Are you on with a job?

what kind of price should screed be , up here there is no competion , not long of the phone and there talking about £39 sqm and the local lot are not much better , looks like it will have to be a sand screed then.

Thing is ,a sand screed is nearly as dear ,then it will never be as level ,this liquid screed is a joy to tile on ,uses a lot less adhesive etc
