Did similar to every stanchion along one side of a shed here 15 years ago. Bigger holes than that and more in the middle of the web.can you dig down, put some shuttering (and a few reinforcing rods) round it and fill with concrete

This is what I’m thinking an L shaped plate down the middle of the web with the leg out into the open and weld another angle /flat bar across the H further up the column as well...... and if that doesn’t work it will be concrete and shutteringPlate it with a couple of L shaped plates and bolt into concrete

Have seen uprights built around with concrete blocks then filled with concrete and capped, also seen pictures of it done using a forty gallon drum with the ends cut out and then filledcan you dig down, put some shuttering (and a few reinforcing rods) round it and fill with concrete

It’s internal columns that are the problem but I think encasing in cement will be further down the list of optionsOnly trouble with encasing with concrete, if open to the elements, rain gets in and causes more problems,
