Had it with my 250.

That me finally going to give up on my class 250rc, spent 1200 on it 10 days ago, roller repair and guy fitting it, only for that 3 roller pressure thing to break a roller today, so after spending thousands on it over 10 years that's the last sort, have to find a contractor to bale the rest, seen a 2002 welger 220 master for 5500, would they be just as bad as my class at that age or Townend has a 2008 235, 8 grand, would my baler be worth 1500£ for spares or repairs?.

Mate took his 250 out to bale 18acre of hay yesterday.bearing went half way across first field.now he's having to get someone in to finish it for him.hopefully before it rains!

The trouble with the 250's was you couldnt grease the bearings, 255's were a big improvement.

250's also had a different pressure relief valve and seemed to run higher peak pressure before they released which didn't help with the rollers, 255's seemed to run a much more even pressure

Trouble with any second hand baler is you don't know how its been treated, if its been left out in the wet and has sealed bearings its much more likely to give trouble
