Had the jab yet?

Ok so just back from getting the jab - pfizer i believe, didn't hurt :) rather quick process except for the 15 minute post injection wait , weirdly they only tell you about potential side effects in the literature give after the jab itself. Was rather supposed by a real community spirit and how slick the process was tho its was very very well staffed. No side effects so far except I now have a hankering to try reinstalling windows 7 on my mac...

Well on the Times online comments section several old 'uns been jabbed now want to be let out to go to the pub and restaurants. I have replied as follows - be thankful you are jabbed, stay home, order food to be dleivered - and then my 22 year old daughter can leave house arrest, meet her friends without fear of being fined and live her life. Lot of entitled boomers on Times online. Pleased you are all vaccinated. Good news. Stay home. Cheers.

At nearly 3 million a week it will take a few weeks to get enough vaccinated

but we must also remember that it take 2 to 3 week for the vaccine to be fully activated

another month to wait for a return of rule of 6 is not too big a sacrifice to prevent another rise in hospitalisations that may end in death

once we have got to the end of spring work things will be opening up

patience will save a few lives and may prevent serious long term effects in some people

when you going to let my 22 year old daughter out of house arrest to save the old 'uns then YB. And my son chance to meet his girlfriend as they live in separate households and legally are not allowed to meet. Gonna be a long while before they get vaccinated. Old Billy Bunter ai'nt to concerned about them. Just takes the student fees.

Looking at the trend, I can't see it being too long before big changes are made. There would need to be a new turbocharged Kent variant mk2 not to start getting things back to some sort of normality in March.

And that is the question, is it not. How SAGE and Billy Bunters government define and accede to some sort of normality. Yellow Belly talks of rule of 6. My 22 year old daughter with her age group risk would think rule of 1066. But know I suspect YB is nearer the mark as the UK gently eases out of lockdown. I just wonder when it will not be illegal to be caught carrying a No 7 iron and a wee white ball.

Why not complete normality?
I think they'll want to do what they did last time; open up a few things, allow a bit of mixing and see how that affects admissions. It's looking good though....

I reckon you'll be out on the greens in March.
