Missed it in where we are just between Stortford and Dunmow but seen video of golf ball sized hailstones falling just further North in the Thaxted area, was some v black clouds over that way, so we only missed it by about 5 miles!

Very bad luck that. When people criticise farmers they don’t realise the pains we all have to suffer sometimes to produce food.
I think a lot of non farming people that have watched Clarkson’s Farm now have a much bigger understanding of the trials and tribulations we encounter.
I’ve had lots saying to me, they never realised it really was such a tight margin, or had no idea the weather had such a bearing on farming, and even, I’ll never complain again about being stuck behind a tractor when I’m going home after work on a Friday afternoon at 4.30!
It’s definitely got a message across in one series that Country File never has in all the years it’s been on.
Well done Jeremy.

Thanks for the thoughts
I tried it at 3 it was 12% so I thought give it a couple of days
Will have to put the combine in and see if anything left not looking forward to that .
If dessicated it won't be much I'm afraid, if left to go naturally possibly 75% left if like mine in 2007.
Think those that had dessicated went down to about 3cwt an acre.
