Hair loss on lower legs

have a ram lamb that I’ve just noticed today has patches of hair loss on his lower legs. One other ram lamb has it on one leg. They are not showing signs of lameness.
Any ideas on what this is? I did think of CODD but the loss is above the coronary band and there’s no lameness. The other sheep in the field don’t appear to be affected.

Looking at the photos it looks like the lamb has been chewing it's leg. What has coursed the irritation I have no idea. Any poisonous plants in the field?

Nice clover by the way 👍

Mites? Do poultry share their patch? Are there dark specks where mites might have excreted? He's certainly nabbed himself raw in that bottom left photo.

Or maybe he's taken up cycling.

The top three are one lamb, and the bottom photo is another. The bottom one only has it on this one leg. No others affected as far as I can see but have popped this in a little isolation area just in case.
Nothing poisonous as far as I’m aware. They’ve been in there for a bit. It has been quite wet and the ground is a little soft in places. Thought about mites but can’t see anything crawling and no signs of any bug dirt.
I originally sprayed the areas with the old blue spray, but have since soaked and rubbed them with a hibiscrub mix. They seem happy enough and are chowing down on some pretty sweet grass. I don’t know whether to pop something like sudocrem on, or some sort of moisturiser where it looks so dry. Or maybe just stick to the hibi and blue spray...

If they were mine, medicated ointment should sooth, I'd think. I'd use udder cream, because that's what's here.

It could be from dried mud that's since gone to dust. I'd doubt if it was sunburn, and a rash from something poisonous would also show on muzzles, wouldn't it?
