Hand held GPS

How much money would I have to spend to accurately measure part fields and ineligible features to 0.01ha?
I doubt the iphone apps are going to be accurate enough but I wondered if garmin or other handheld devices would be suitable.

Frontier have a quad with GPS to map areas, would this be a specific ag related device costing £££?

I guess a meter wheel would be fine to measure my ineligible waterways x width but I also have some irregularly shaped pheasant covers that are not on the satellite maps/measure map apps yet.

Or is everyone just using a ruler and map?

Cheers @croppers
@-chris- We could help you with this. We use (and sell) Trimble gear on quad bikes which can also be used on foot. We could come and measure for you, or as you're pretty local could even rent one to you to measure the areas you need.
