Our fencing contractor has bought a hydraulic post driver, a pneumatic one and I think a petrol one over the years and I've done all manner of modifications to them in the workshop. In the end, the driver you've pictured is the one he keeps going back to!Bulldog FM12F 12LB Premier Fencing Maul FM12F | at Zoro

I watched the Portek guys doing a demo of their machine at the Rickerbys show last year, so in March and soft ground and the only word is pathetic.Petrol engines won't knock wooden posts in the ground only steel.
You can get an air driven picket post driver, meant to be quite good but you need a massive compressor to run them efficiency.
Not used hydraulic one so can't comment. I hear the pipes are heavy to handle if you have any length to get further away from the tractor.
Yeah I saw 1 of the first ones in the country before all the other makes copied then at NSA Wales day 4 years ago, it couldn’t drive in a pencil post (2” round)I watched the Portek guys doing a demo of their machine at the Rickerbys show last year, so in March and soft ground and the only word is pathetic.
