Hands free kit

I put my phone through the tractor radios for hands free. If I leave the tractor or switch off, then the connection is cut and you have to remember to reset it. To eliminate the first problem I leave the phone in the cab but that's no good if I break me leg getting off the tractor! Is there a hands free kit on the market that will auto connect as and when you get near it and if you have the same kit in other tractors/vans it will do the same?

My pioneer radio auto con ects the hands free kit are you sure you dont have to alter the settings for your phones bluetooth?

Yes, I have a Parrot 3100 in mine that works a treat. The only problem is when you have the phone in your pocket and are out of the tractor but still within Bluetooth range, the speaker on the phone will be switched off so you can't hear. If it's a call you want to take you end up either running away from the tractor in the vain hope the connection will break, or towards it, equally hopelessly, to get in the cab before they ring off!

This is what I use, if you answer with the parrot buttons it goes through hands free but if u out of the cab and answer the call using your phone it bypasses the hands free and comes directly through the phone. When u return to the cab and press the green bottom on parrot it transfers to hands free. I have iphone so may be just easy on those in particular?!!

I'm on iPhone as well and for whatever reason it always answers in the cab, will have to look into this as despite being a source of amusement to everyone else it's actually a real ball ache.

Thanks guys. I think the main problem is that I have 3 different Bluetooth devices in vehicles and I have to tell the phone which one to connect to if it doesn't ask me if I want to connect to "whatever". Still, remembering to look is my problem!!! Was just trying to cut out the middle man so to speak.

When I can be bothered to use it, I have a bluetooth device that connects my mobile and landline directly to my hearing aids. Just press the answer button, and all I can hear is the phone call. Don't use it that often because it enables me to hear far better than the other person, because the microphone I speak into picks up background noise; it puts the boot on the other foot. So you lot with good hearing learn why I used to hate making phhone calls. "Hang on, I'll just plug my hearing aids in," really sorts out cold callers!
