Hanskamp parlour feeders

Any body had experience of these feeders? Look like a nice idea, not had a price yet but wondered if anyone had seen them in use
We put in a new DeLaval parlour 3 yrs ago and installed the Hanskamp pipe feeders in it. Really quite like them. We've had zero issues with them, each pipe holds about 20kg of nuts and they dispense a nice steady trickle over the duration of milking. Will post a picture or 2 tomorrow

Thanks @newholland

We are installing the Hanskamp pipe feeders today. Also auto id and new troughs.

The pipefeeder is a cracking design, with its stainless steel feed hopper pipe.

The feed only falls the last foot out of the feeder so they are quiet.

It won't drop food if it is hit by the cow.

Motor that is mounted at the top (cover removed) the motor will automatically reverse to unblock it's self.

It also doses about 80 gram per rotation so keeps dropping a small amount of feed through the milking to keep the cow entertained.

The auto Id can be stand alone or linked to Parlour software like uniform agri.

What sort of cost are they? They look very good

Might be a really saft question, but where does the meal come from to fill the pipe? Looks a good simple robust design though. Oh forgot to mention, how much?

This installation isn't complete yet. No augers fitted yet, more feeders to go in too!

The auger fills the black top section. There is a round entry at the top of the feeder.
(Where It looks like a cable goes)

Will put another picture up to show the finished system.

I'll gladly get some prices...

Should the drop pipe not be outside the parlour??

This Parlour is against an outside wall so wouldn't be practical in this case.

If you wanted the feeders hidden, it would be possible to install the feeders on the opposite side of a wall and have a drop tube through the wall to the trough.

It's a different idea as the isn't really a drop pipe. So less noise from falling food, less dust. No food is dropped for cows banging the feeder.

It's another way of doing it.

Some pictures from our parlour and feeders which are in 3 yrs now.
As has been mentioned, they're simple, quiet and the cows soon learn that hitting them a good dunt yields no reward. The top picture shows the view from below.
This area needs to be given a clean every few months as it will cake up and block completely if it is left.

Glad your pleased with them,

They have been upgraded now so there is a scraper spring inside the outlet so they clean themselves every rotation.

I'm think it can be added to your feeder, might save you a job every now and again.

Had a very good chat with Charles @ClusterClean Systems the other day and hopefully my plan of having a very basic parlour and a separate feed to yield system capable of auto Id may be possible. If you could attach a picture of the computer system for the feeders that would be brilliant Charles.

Hi,

Thanks for your call

This installation controlled by a Davlec Multi C1 - feed control box.

It has a light blue backlit screen when powered on. It is easy to see and control.
I'll get a picture of the screen powered on when it's connected soon.

It's a stand alone feed controller that is upgradeable to Auto ID so:

You can manually enter the cow number or feed rations directly with this box.

Or later it can be upgraded to Auto ID by adding the antennas:

It can be a Auto ID system and feed the cows automatically.
It will lead feed to get the cows loaded & indexed faster.

The auto ID antenna is fitted at each stall for the best ID accuracy.

Thanks
Charles
