Hardcore track stone volume???

I’ve a new track to put in for someone and could do with a calc for stone needed,always used big rough hardcore and topped off with mot or plannings here but this is a complete new track.

2 tonne a meter but you always use more

usually twice as much as you first thought you needed !

Used 2 ton per cube and always fell short, 2.4 ton per cube always works.
