Harder 750a discs

The apm price helps but really want a harder option 140 acres a set on 6m is a pita.

I've tried to get into contact with Forges De Niaux in France but they won't reply to me so I can't find out who their UK agent is. Both Exapta and Needham are going for these discs over Ingersoll in the USA so if they are importing them to from France there must be something in them.

They must be a decent price as well - I'd be up for a group buy through their agent if anyone else wants to order

Forged de Niaux are OEM manufactures for JD, despite what Exapta and Needham say I seriously doubt they are better than JD supplied discs.

140 acres per set of discs.!!!
Sounds like a tine would be more suited.
very pleased not t be hooking the stones up any more, the 75 acres of gravel in that area does the damage, next block up did 270 acres discs not worn out but to blunt to do a good job in chopped cereals.
Hope your'e well not floated away?

HI Tim hope you are well seems a long time ago you brought my subsoiler to Sussex.

Disc size is important to keep the same for penetration at the available weight its hardness we need the stones blunt the current spec too fast they used to be available harder, much bigger market now.

Getting close , standing water has only appeared on mine last week, and it was gone 24 hrs later.
Others not so lucky .
Not the best year to get someone in with sheep grazing covers.

I'm good thanks but the Lincoln fens are sinking fast. There's hardly a field around hear without a permanent lake, I haven't seen any beet lifted and there are patches or maze left.
Not much good if your making sub-soilers.
Good to hear your still going strong but I would advise that the hardness of the steel may have little bearing on it's life.
Like so many things these days the figures quoted may not be true. However I don't think hardox 500 type plate would outlast the ones you are using and I don't think they do 600 in 5mm. I have been able in the past to souse armour plate as wear plate which will have a much higher alloy content and although no harder will give a longer life.
I use tungsten carbide now on my wearing parts and I'm using tungsten grit in weld behind the tip wing and in front of the shin which works well. I have fitted a blade type aerator slitter in front of my latest sub-soiler with tungsten grit welded on the cutting edge which works well but I have the weight to keep in in.

Hi can anybody tell me how to get total hectares off a 2011 750a with greenstar.
Any help would be great Thanks
On 2630 screen you go the 2nd page, then I think it’s the bottom right button might be a magnifying glass, but eventually you get to a grey background screen with voltage readings and other funny looking stuff and if you keep moving pages rightward you eventually come to it. Sorry for the terrible description but I can’t remember exactly what it looks like but it is very straightforward when you’re looking at it

Fitted APM discs this September. They've covered 300ac and lost about 1/2 inch, still can see bevel. Issue I have is every disc has this notching marks but only in on area around the circumference.
