Hardox buckrake tines

Has anyone welded wear parts on the ends of the buckrake tines so they don’t wear the tine its self. Only thinking of putting a small wear strip of hardox under the tine to just stop them getting any further back. Is there any where what does tips or bits for the hardox tines on like allbut buckrakes?
cheers

Spaldings used to supply a repair section for Albutt Hardox tines many moons ago but this was discontinued

Any decent modern Fabrication shop will be able to profile cut exactly what you require in Hardox..............just don't expect it to be cheap.

I've seen push off buckrakes with a complete strip of steel along the bottom to join the tines to help stop them wearing thin and decrease the chances of one being bent. No idea if this makes the job harder or not though.

I was wondering about getting some
Bucket edge and cutting it to fit under each tine and welding it on the underside of the tines or so to just save the wear.

That’ll work but if your going to the trouble buy a strip of hardox.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Buy a few foot of hardox and cut to the same as the tines or slightly narrower and then can weld underside to a point and should help with the wear. The buckrake is fairly expensive as it’s 14’ fold out push off so don’t want to start having to put new tines on it when I could have an afternoon welding wear pads on it

You need a friend in a quarry workshop to bring you a few bits home.

Most of my friends want stuff from me and I don’t have a friend in a welding quarry game. I’ll get a strip online from some where I think.
