4th week in a row, must have used a proper 4x4 last night as it had kingpin amazon tyres on according to the tread pattern!! Different lot though this time I reckon as they didn't shut gates behind them, just rammed them flat with their vehicle!!!

If you would rather not publish details here ( for obvious reasons)

PM me details, and I will ensure the relevant local rural crime task forces receive the details.

Please be very wary of being too explicit on here.

There's one of those REG numbers above that comes in as taxed tested and insured.

Is it not possible to put a claim in for damage to crops fence gateway etc through the farms insurance?

If REG had been read could a phone pic not be taken?

I'm Probably talking sh!t

The only way we as farmers are going to stop the crimes that the police *cant* police is to peusue small claims for damages where the burden of proof is easier to establish. Then, after winning the costs, get an ASBO on the other party and ensure the police pursue any breeches thereof. I maintain we should establish a "fighting fund" for this.

I was meaning through the pikeys insurance if held. One of those cars shows up on the MID... If we demolished fixtures and fittings in Tesco car park our insurance would be claimed on.

I aprreciate that not all the pikey wagons are insured so obviously not a total solution.

Lincs Rural and also Cambs police, really do seem to be being proactive in pursuing coarsers, but you must keep reporting it, and always ask for a crime number if one is not given, if you are in Lincs ask for it to be flagged up for Op(eration) Galileo.

It is quite possible, once you establish the "loss" caused by the damage, to ask the DVLA to give you the details of the registered keeper so you can sue them for your loss. The burden of proof to get the police to take action is high unless they actually catch them, and will come down to the "your word vs mine" so unless you have a solicitor / barrister for a partner to witness it, I reckon a civil claim is a good step, the point being thas, althouhg the actual loss is small you could then apply for an ASBO for antisocial behaviour - the breech of an ASBO is usually a custodial matter.
