not a picture but some of the early bushels on barley have been mid 60's up to a whooping 73.5kghl for barley that is huge, variety was volume I think.

Put these on another thread but here they are again. Barley cut last weekend, Volume 2 fields yielded 3.55 +3.6t/ac off combine approx ave 15-16% moisture, Cassia cut monday 3.08t/ac ave moisture 17%. Average Barley yield 3.38t/ac little dissapointing but will take it considering the year these crops have had. Some bigger crops being reported around Ireland up to 4t/ac and over but often you hear the best yields not the average or worst.

No pictures yet but cut 20 acres of Flourentine WB, both grain and straw yields beyond expectation, just over 3t/ac grain, not sure on straw figure yet as some laid in a wet swath :( bushel weight a bit low round 63 mark but nice looking grain all the same, some Cassia ready to cut when last nights 6mm of rain blows off

Posted on another thread and same field as first pic above.

All cut around 15/16%. Will have final yield once all over the weigh bridge in the next few days but think it will average 3.3 to 3.5 t/a.

I rubbed some cassia out at 1 pm and it tested at15.5.add one percent for through combine and it's not fit.lots of green ears in the tramlines and lots of green straw.with the hot weather it should have been lower moisture.will look again on Monday or Tuesday.ears look small aswell.

Set a combine off in a field of Barley they other day, the owner said he had tested the barey at 7:30am and it was 15% by the time we were cutting at 9:30am it was 14% out the combine. Seems most Winter Barley around here is now cut.

This rather nice JD 690 harvesting oats near me today - south of Cambridge on the lighter soils by the M11.
