See a bloke in the Arable Farmer was "disappointed at 10.47t ha of wheat and 83kg/hl as the light patches brought the yield down"....p8
Same for us, only got pods half way up the plant.Out with a fanfare eh? How did they yield? Our Fuego beans looked good but were ultimately disappointing.
Cutting barley
We used this. I can't remember it getting wet but I didn't have a lot to do with the bailing. I was on drilling and spraying at that point. What were they using to bale behind 45ft header!? Did it ever get wet?
Probably a spy. From claasStrange that's the same picture as in class baler brochure. Did they take pictures at your farm?
I went to see a mate with hundreds of acres of linseed left to cut. Similar problems - just not dead yet. He left quickly when the driver rang to say his [Claas] combine was on fire
Drilling date ? I was always led to believe that you could drill linseed right up to the end of May, very true, but you will be very lucky to be able to harvest the crop. We had a very large area late drilled about 15 years ago and trying to combine it in October was a complete nightmare, never grown the crop since, but been tempted many times..Tried the linseed yesterday, it had regone 3 weeks ago and looked nice and dead, cut round the field once and tested the sample......

It seems there 3 crops in one. There are dead black balls with nowt in them, balls that are fit and full of tea coloured seeds, and yellowy balls that are like mush. Anyone else havng the same problem?
I dont think late N and rainfall has helped.
