Beans finished yesterday, the only crop I’ve cut that will need to be dried this year. It’s been a long drawn out harvest this year. Now to sit on my hands and wait till October to start drilling.

Finished my linseed yesterday having done it over 2 afternoons so harvest finished for me.
Looking around yesterday in sprayer, surprised to see about 50 ac of wheat still to cut 16 miles from me but combine in field. . See a couple farms have spring beans to do also. We are having nice hot days but heavy dews so will all be done and dusted next couple days.

As a matter of interest, Oscar, did you manage to get your own m/c going well again or did your co-conspirator stay on to clean your own last few bits up for you?

It's very good to see you've that assurance, Oscar.

And let's all hope you will have a bit more luck all next season.

Nevertheless, we're still intending to start well before you in 2020, given our far more feeble soil types.

So, it's to be starting the harvesting here the 10th July again, folks, (at the very latest).

It hasn’t rained since the beginning of June and been scorchingly hot for a lot of that time, so not a good year for crops like sunflowers. I just managed to top 2 tonnes per ha which apparently is very good for this year. These were after long term grass, so that may have helped. Worth about €300/t so not very exciting

2019 Harvest, Done (y)(y)(y) The zyatt is not so bold that it would go though the seed cleaning sieves, the yields all round where poor and I am not struggling to find space to tip the last load of beans. Let’s hope next years crop is better ;)
