After 2 days of faffing a dose of rad flush has cured all ills. Had a full day on the wheat decent yields of grain and straw. Happy to give Diego another year.Whats the cause?
We didn’t have a dew this morning. Was combining at 10.30 this morning and wheat was testing 15.9, then down to 15.3 all day. No sun, but very windy. Missed all the showers luckily . Just had to come down and load some oats or could’ve kept going. Feeling tired now, so not going back out.Bet we haven't had a mm today , it took till 4 o clock for the dew to go .

Sorry. Just surprised the weather was so different when we aren’t that far as the crow flies . My continuous wheat isn’t doing anything startling if that makes you feel better.Feel much better now , thanks
Bet you were really watching the cricket !!Feel much better now , thanks
Everyone has big crops Clive, hope you've sold plenty forward as price only going one way. Don't think zero-till conservation Ag is the definitive component of your pleasing yields. Most of our wheat zero-till post osr and beans has been great, but one block after spuds, soil wrecked, was so heavy combine speed was limited by header auger feed (not worth raising for 50 acres) There will be folk with huge yields following a power harrow combi, strip-till, zero-till, at the end of the day its down to the weather and soil structure, whether corrected by machine or preserved via zero-till on the right soils.Started the day with a combine breakdown ?
Clutch went on farm pickup when fetching spares, needed RAC to recover it
Contractor cart drivers and trucks stood about costing me a scary ammiunt per hour just to “wait”
Blocked dryer conveyor which lost us time and means by mid afternoon I had wheat EVERYWHERE it shouldn’t be
But on the bright side we are cutting some bloody good wheat ! And it’s even coming in dry now
