Might not go yet. Always threshes crap this time of year. But no point having an on floor drier empty and a combine stood.

I'm prioritising my spring barley. That's if we ever get 6 hours without a shower. Its already breaking down and more wind and heavy rain will push it even lower. The wheat can maybe stand the weather better although of course its also ready now. Spring barley was 14.6% when we got rained off at teatime yesterday, though it is on some very light sand. One load booked onto a boat for next week. Not hanging about or messing with malting as i need the floor clearing pronto.

Quite a few heavy showers again today. But if it gets below 17% I will get some more tomorrow.

One load of OSR loaded. 2.5 tonnes left. A long slow trip to the store with the tractor and trailer. Almost a days outing with the MF565.

Gravity wheat slow going due to it being flat on the ground !!! (and only 50 acres to cut !) Yielding very well indeed but bushel is rubbish.
Kerrin is in same field and standing nicely......maybe i should be cutting that before the rain and winds arrive to knock it down ???

@Adeptandy Excuse my ignorance, but you are stood up and this chap is fixing it - what is he doing? You said gears...
It really looks like the machine is in need of life-support and this chap is doing the equivalent of painting its nails. :)

He's cleaning the chaff n dust off before we start to strip it, we'd only just got it back to the yard, that was a challenge in itself, there was 3 of us, 2 from MF and me. all the bits were to heavy to lift, so had to be took off with the teleporter. Now the lottery of what parts are in the UK tomorrow morning, will it be a trip to France :nailbiting:

@Adeptandy , so he was painting its nails.
Really meant in jest - it looks so incongruous, steelies boiler suit and nail painting device.
