Got some milling wheat results back. Protein 13.3 to 14.2. Very surprised as some very good yields for us 3.9 to 4.3t/ac
(40 units of bag N) bushel weight 76 to 77. Hagburgs mostly around 260. Worst 200 best 280. Cut last Sunday to Wednesday. Gallant, zyatt and sky fall no difference between them.

My feed wheat bushel weight is rubbish (69). Lots of unfilled shrivelled grains in amongst the fat ones. I think due to burn off on the sand then 4" of rain too late.
Turned the Kongskilde blower up but was going to lose too much.
Maybe I got the seed rate a bit high. Dad used to warn me about that on this light land but it was late drilled.

In the middle.
Had ago at some oats earlier, we pulled out a week ago Thursday and have had 4" of rain since. Travelled really well last time but not today. Oats at 12% moisture, soil at field capacity.

I could do with a dryer shed like that. Any idea what it cost you approx?
I can’t remember to be honest, it’s been up a few years. Wouldn’t be without it though. Had to take a couple of sheets off on one side to let dust escape. Looking to add so roll up/down taurp. type sides maybe for next year, to help keep the weather off, when not in use.

Similar here, Manny, now have to be extremely careful where one drives.

Have had to leave some of the more notorious wet places about twice as big as usual - even bigger than in 2012!

Swings and roundabouts - last year we didn't have to leave any.

Now moved back to a farm where we pulled out of oats a week ago Thursday - then rained off today at 1.45, 4.00, 5.00 and 6.45pm.

Consequently, moisture is nearer 22% than 12%.

We have a 2 bale spike on the front linkage and a 4 on the back it's a very land friendly way to move bales

A very great credit both to your enthusiasm and to your work ethic, 4course.

We got rained off for the fourth time at 6.45 and all went down the pub.

No progress here since Thursday afternoon. Rain this morning, drying nicely this afternoon ready for tomorrow but another shower has just gone through. Showers tomorrow too. The malting barley looks awful now. I will get It tested to see if it will still germinate. :(
