In the middle.
EFA fallow barley?

The field was fallow for the 2019 cropping year but grow a lot of volunteer barley from 2018 harvest and not much weed. The field was roundup off in July after the end of the fallow period and topped with the combine and the straw chopped. This was not my field and i was asked by the owner to tidy it up as i finished the field next door.

All the same, 2t/acre of WB with no costs will leave a pretty good financial margin from his EFA

Just assuming he had the foresight to sell all the 2t/acre forward of course.

Great to read all the posts on this section of the forum. Lot of you guys are close to the finishing line if not over it. a great effort in a really tough year. part of what makes British agriculture great. Good luck and best wishes to all who have still got crop to get in. Be safe get it in, drill it and get the kit back in the barn.

Still 450 acres to cut here, with lots of fiddly header removals. Getting through it and the combine is doing well when the sun shines. Lost a few hours with overheating transmission oil and the dealer had to change the thermostat. Rained off twice.

Unfortunately (or not) until we get some loaded out there is no room in the barns for any kit. It will have to stay out in " the big shed".

Chewed off the rest of the oats yesterday, straw still unfit, 1.5 mm of rain in night, few spots in day, oats going through drier to polish up and remove dust anyway so thought may as well finish.
45ac sp barley to go, want to cut it dry really.

What did the kids do wrong??

Ha. They have to go to Wales at the end of the month. Then they will appreciate Lincolnshire a bit more.

I'm not sure they are really in Scotland - they are walking along Hadrian's Wall - but certainly north enough to need their big coats in August.

Some might question what I did wrong to gave to gave dinner with the Mrs....

Good news the kids are still in England, they won’t need a passport to get home. Another saving(y)

For some strange reason I always find that header removals become increasingly more and more annoying the longer the season goes on.

This year's no exception.

As a matter of interest, do Lexion users still have to carry a spade to dig a divot out, to drop the combine side trolley wheel into, to achieve an angle that lets the combine actually pick up the header.
The 85 was like it, 98 no better. Only works if binder and trolley are on billiard table flat field:mad:.

Header auto-level does the job for you. :)

No issues here with current 2018 Lexion 630 and 6m header or previous 2010 Lexion 510 with a 5.4m header.

I thought it was just out 108. Keep meaning to ask a Claas man why the dam header wont lift right up to get it off the trolley.

I have had to dismantle the trolley before to get the header off as it can get caught in between bits.
Always on/off as flat as possible and always unhitch the tractor for easy trailer manoeuvring.
