done 2 pieces of os r 1st about i.2 ,2nd about 0.6 , on hold now we only sprayed some yesterday. wheat 2-3 weeks away spring barley the same unless we get a week like today.

Least said about the OSR the better, haven't finished rape yet but what is left is pretty dire.So stared cutting Skyscraper/Gleam drilled 23/10/19,
Running at 6.5 / 7.5 ha.

14 ha 17 ton
22 ha 26 ton , Most of it off nearly half the field , swarms of swanns off welney reserve ,had half of field could not stop them ,
Not growing any more
Having seed oats. , and more bulbs and onions

Tbh we've been on the very tight belt since October. But then I have all next year's seed, fert and spray already in the shed. At least the tax rebate will help.
is there an echo , keep the ship tight , ive never been so glad of the cattle , weve never had the numbers at this time of year.

Glad we have the sheep to keep cash flow going although spend on late drilled crops has been refreshingly low. About 3 weeks away from start of harvest which is weird and unsettling as normally we’d be half way through by now. Spring barley looks like about 1 to 1.5 t per acre and wheat maybe 2.5 t per acre with fusarium shrivelled grain. Not much to get excited about. A very strange year.
