When are cutting it worries me , not in to October combining

My neighbours in france grow lucerne , ok it grows in hot summers but I wouldn't get the baler out for a bale an acre

I know two people locally growing it successfully, and selling it to dairy farms at a good price .

In 2013 24 april drilled harvested 5 September best field flat on the floor 3 tonnes per acre
this year all drilled by 15 April with rain following

Looks better than mine , doesn’t bode well. OSR a dismal 2t/ha. I fear the hyvido barley was the highlight....

Blimey have you finished your winter barley, no ones started here yet were all waiting till next week.

Cut what was left of our rape 16ha less than a ton/ha. But had nothing since 1st fert. Had a go at some wheat on sand today for a neighbour but not quite ready might do 6t/ha

Looks like the only party making a margin out if it will be Premium Crops!

12ha field of Lucerne here yielded 6t/ha first cut and 5.5 second cut, will be taking a 3rd in the next week, won't be massive but should still do 3ish

Wheat harvest imminent. Stopped OSR harvest as too much dry stuff cut. 6am start tomorrow..

Glad we won’t be doing anything for a month, 6 weeks as the list of jobs to get ready seems to keep getting longer

And with the current fact summer 2020 still hasn’t arrived, not a lot is ripening at anything other than glacial speed

We got 50 bales (quadrant 120x70 8ft) off a sixty acre field yesterday!

Just heard there was only a few more tonnes of barley!

Finished winter barley for our neighbour this afternoon. Approx 100 tonnes off 42 acres. Not bad considering. Straw variable from bright to dull and not much off it.
Started rape but too dry. Won't be 1t/acre.
