13mm in the last hour.

Was finishing up the wheat this time last year, today we haven’t started anything yet

Yes just looked up the rain radar around York, you’re getting the brunt of it today!

had a shower here at lunch time, but it skirted around the wheat field we were in. Maybe we have friends in high places?

Still not into Spring Barley yet. We store and feed our barley but dont own a dryer, just fans. Moisture not really falling with these winds and showers.
Usually 90% of our barley would had been winter. With an unintended 100% spring barley, beginning to fear this might be the year we get caught out

I intend to have a cold pint, fish and chips, and an early night. After making sure all the folk who were desperate for straw know they can come get their bits baled.
Have a pint for me when youre at it !! Over here the wind is blowing with frequent heavy showers , the gly is still in the cans, the ww is more or less fit the barley is fourty shades of green and the spring wheat looks like it could be Oct .
Forecast is rotten so it could be a long time before i get my done cutting pint !!!

This barley was very stripey. But liquid sun a bit early put paid to it. I've maybe one green grain in a bowled hand. Nice sample. A fair few heads have cone off, and a bit is badly brackled.

Propino 200kg fss, 25 cube digestate, 1lt CCC, 2lt manganese, roundup.
