Better off chopping the trees down round the outside , to be fair we have a dig chunk going into HLS scheme next year to remove low yielding parts of fields.Maybe not potatoes, but indicates not plant the headlands. A point shown up by ADAS Boxworth when research undertaken in response to the introduction of compulsory set aside in 1992. The outside 12 - 24 metres of a field loses all the profit generated by the middle of the field..
Do you rip the headlands before sowing? Makes a huge difference IMO.Better off chopping the trees down round the outside , to be fair we have a dig chunk going into HLS scheme next year to remove low yielding parts of fields.
howdo you mean? its better to leave them unploughed until sown?Do you rip the headlands before sowing? Makes a huge difference IMO.
