Yesterday I was talking to retired farmer who read Adam Henson has finished on Countryfile, and the programmes he is on were recorded some time ago...

He says, "If there’s a topic you’d like me to feature, I'd love to know," he ended his post.

There are always moans we don't get favourable coverage on the media. Looks like here's our chance! But who will use it?

I watched him speak once. One of the floor asked, why don’t you show the ‘proper’ side of farming on country file, it’s very watered down. His reply was becuase countryfile is a mainstream programme now, nobody would watch it. ‘Standard’ Farming just isn’t captivating enough for the average viewer.

Funny how clarkson proved that concept to be so incredibly wrong.

And this explains why This Farming Life is a much better programme. Real deal farmers showing the realities of the coal face, not some bloke with 4 rare breed ponies and a half acre of strawberries.

+1 I think if Tom Heap had been around during WWII he would have been locked up in the Tower. He's the Private Fraser of the BBC. His often one sided doom-laden stories attempt to undermine the very industry that he relies on for his income. Talk about glass half full - his is f**king empty......

How the hell did Tom 'sh1t' Heap ever get on telly?

He seems to have a complete lack of understanding of anything he talks about and he could commentate on a mass brawl/ orgy in the House of Commons and make it sound boring.

That “slot” has always been the same whichever presenter took it on. Always looking for a problem in order to try and present a “debate”.

I generally agree but there have been a few exceptions to the generally good content of that program I recall at least 2 lots of "crofters" who where in all honesty lifestyle farmers , fair enough they are "farmers" and for a portion of the viewers its probably good to see that people can get into the business in some way , but when they where on just switched it off .
