Direct Driller

Has anyone heard about Novag drills?

I'm just back from France and visited a few French farms.
One of the them had a Novag drill manufactured in France and had been using it for 2 years. He said he was very happy with the results and crops looked great. The machine looked very well engineered.
I have never heard about thoses drills before.
    I've found this link too:

Looks very much like a cross slot copy to me but there are people on here far more highly qualified on cross slots than me who will confirm this.

Could be an affordable Cross Slot. Looks good.

Fertiliser placement, ADF, a single hopper so allows for presumably at least 2 tonnes of seed only if required, bring it on a lorry through the tunnel, what's not to like?

A bit of tech backup and source of spares would be useful.

No reason for it as I can't. Never seen one in nature.

I always think that a lot of newer Direct drills look a lot like 750a

I get a chance to demo the Novag 6m seed and fert in spring sowing, hope to have time to get some pictures and maybe some video of it then.

    Hi Green,

Please note carefully what will get as very important details before anyone get wrong decision and after to get crazy and mad from suffering and etc......

    See the facts:

35-40% are not seed after passing.

ADF/automatic depth control not working properly/

Оpeners are or either deep in the soil or go out on the surface. very bad as results you can imagine what happen after.

Тhe slot stay open and easy dry as seed is not protected - see the video how openers are not drill properly, they actually digging. impossible variant. they did not make the full copy of the whole technology of Cross Slot.

See the video how openers not do the slot - They simply plow!! See it!

    Hello Bill,

I take it you have been a suffering customer?
If so, are they doing anything to overcome the problems you are suffering? A product improvement program maybe?
