Has anyone heard about Novag drills?

We have had demo in spring and autumn, about 50 ha. And I rather say it`s a good rill. They made new blades to get rid of the plugging problem and the new seemed to work nice.

Have heard of an other one near Paris. Apparently the Novag team is quite suportive with their customer even though the first one had troubles.
They will face charges agains copying cross-slot this november, so we will know if they will stay in the business pretty soon.

I have read that the Cross slot technology was invented more than 30 years ago? Normandyfarmer do you know what's the problem?

Novag is a blatant copy of a CS without any licencing or consent of Cross Slot , made by an ex employee (intern) of CS I was told - cheaper (but still expensive IMO). I believe CS have tried to take action but patent law is complex expensive and costly to enforce

Is Cross slot job for Europe not up in air too at the moment

Seems to be a lot of uncertainty right now yes ! I know there are plans to build them in Europe and reduce the retail price to a MUCH more competitive level, doing so under the current cloud of Brexit and currency / import tariff potential rather hard to plan on though I suspect

I saw a quote for a 4m novag recently - 149k euro’s........ not cheap !

I think legal proceedings are still on going though

I would be very concerned as a buyer that potentially you could loose the drill if litigation was successful maybe ?

Possession is 9/10 of the law Clive!
Seriously though, I wouldnt want to have a deposit lodged on a drill that might never actually get built?
