Is that a defence or a repudiation...?What is it that people are concerned about with the possibility of a Labour government ? Are they worried that a Labour government would be formed by a bunch of idiots with an even bigger idiot in charge ? Perhaps they’re worried about tax rises ? Maybe empty shelves in supermarkets concern them ? Maybe they’re worried about possible fuel shortages ? Could be they think Labour will destroy the NHS ? Or they are worried there’ll be an increase in people using food banks ? They may think that Labour will double the national debt.
Seriously, what is the problem ?
It’s the thought in the back of your mind that so many of this Labour lot not that unlike what we already have could not organise a pee up in a brewery let alone run our country that fills your heart with dread, how many of them would you trust to run your business? What is it that people are concerned about with the possibility of a Labour government ? Starmer would probably be alright but would bore you to death! Would you fancy that Grant Schapps running yours??It’s the thought in the back of your mind that so many of this Labour lot not that unlike what we already have could not organise a pee up in a brewery let alone run our country that fills your heart with dread, how many of them would you trust to run your business?
Can't think of many I would trust with anything!Starmer would probably be alright but would bore you to death! Would you fancy that Grant Schapps running yours??
Merkel, emmmmThey all fill me with utter despair - both parties.
How have we arrived at this position, with such a totally ineffectual political class? Unfortunately this is repeated across much of the world - how many great (or even moderately competent) politicians can you name in the Western world?
I am not a Starmer fan mainly because of the people he has around him. No, I would not trust them to run this country even though I see failures in the present government. I note that the old chestnut of private education has been raised as it has on many previous occasions when Labour are in trouble. Nobody has yet made any serious attempt to carry it through and it won`t happen now. Private schools are bursting at the seems and many of the parents are lower middle class families. The performance of state schools during lockdown have, in most cases and by all accounts that I have heard, been pathetic.Starmer would probably be alright but would bore you to death! Yeah... so many say that, but when her record is examined closely it is not good. She hasn't 'done' anything brilliant, and has done some pretty bad things - for Germany I mean - but these are glossed over by her apologists.Merkel, emmmm
The main, important and HUGE difference between state and private schools is that crap teachers won't be tolerated in private schools because the parents have a real say in things, with their cash......The performance of state schools during lockdown have, in most cases and by all accounts that I have heard, been pathetic.
... Of course the situation for private schools was no different but parents had a strong say in the way it was operated and fully supported the result. Most parents made a big effort but I am doubtful if they would have done when assisted by the limp wristed approach displayed by many state schools.
There is no escaping the fact that if you pay for it twice you appreciate the need to make it work.
