Only 16 minutes on hold, though there was a certain amount of urgency when I got through and I told them what I was on hold for.

If you can unscrew the bottom end- there will be a red wire and a black wire. Cut the black one - I think
I remember seeing it on Dad's Army. Hope this helps

My father knew of a live one that was used as a doorstop in a house for many years, although it must have been short and stubby. This one looks like it could be prone to toppling over

It's an old insendiary bomb. We have quite a few at home that we've ploughed up over the years. Yours is a bit more intact than any of mine so I'd be a little bit wary.
