Have you ever climbed your own turbine?

Just out of interest really. Does anyone (with the proper safety harness etc obviously) ever go up their turbine with the engineers to get a first hand idea of any issues/problems/work being done? (Guessing servicing companies wouldn't like this from an H&S point of view). Or have you ever been up when its shut down just to have a look at the view?

I've been up my gaia a few times. Go up to put the blade tips back in if they every flip out (safety feature). ONLY 18 meters though! Certainly makes you grip the ladder!

Go up 55 meter tower no problem with harness. Received basic training from manufacture when handed over
Would be nice to have a 55 mtr tower or even 3 of them but alas the planners will not allow it. Just 2 miles as the crow flies and there is 38 of them. Obviously different planning authorities.

I usually have a look in the nacelle of our 55 metre turbine tower when the maintenance guys do their routine servicing - Its only about 15 steps up a ladder due to the turbine being winched down for service ....View attachment 909972
