Still a fair few hear, not totally sure but some look to still be nesting too, theirs 2 pairs going in and out of one shed all day.

Had a robin chirping away in barn too today. have one every year for the last few that gets in the tractor if I leave the back window open, purches on my seat and normally leaves a present :cautious::rolleyes:

Topping grass today and there where quite a few feeding , makes me wonder how many tons of insects-pests they would eat when over , undoubtably a farmers friend if you have livestock , ok you have to put up with a pile or two of shite in the barns mind you !

We have a few about, they rarely stay long enough to eat the crane flies which are just emerging in force.

Big numbers with me - think I may have gained some from neighbours or further afield. All pasture, and as others have said they are having a field-day with the crane flies which are about in big numbers. Hopefully this bonanza will improve their individual chances of returning next year.

The swallows have gone, but the Robins are singing their hearts out. There are 2 of them in the grain store, battling it out for possession of 1500 tonnes of wheat. Aggressive little buggers...

I had to break up a fight between 2 robins today! They were on the ground, locked together, one was really trying to kill the other, they were oblivious to me even when I stood next to them and spoke to them. Had to shoo them away in the end so the underdog could escape.

Not if those barstewards in Malta are still allowed to shoot them as they migrate,
Couldn't believe it,all these weirdos standing there on the cliffs in Gozo in the early hours just blasting away at migrating birds.
Sick twits.

All ours went this week , some only newly fledged . Hope they make it , to be able to come back next year . What I REALLY , REALLY , wish would happen is for the dirty slimy stinkin' bloody Canada geese to go , but not come back . Must have been 150 of the dirty gits grazing this week (Grazing ? sh1tt1ng more lke ) They've given over migrating now . Well, wouldn't you with a regular supply of feed from bliddy people without working for it . There's a wetspot in the field that now covers a wide area and is completely denuded of grass , and replaced with goose sh1t . Got 25 shot last weekend and hasn't even made a dent in them . Trouble is that there are too many bloody bunny huggers living locally , and we have to tread carefully.
