Anybody got prices for new season straw. Was offered £35-38 a few days ago for 4x3 barley straw.

Winter or spring soft or hard, there is going to be a back lash against hard winter barley, farmers dont like it, but it can vary in varieties , I would think prices will be on par with last year or slightly higher

We will have both winter and spring barley straw. We have Carat winter barley, which tends be be on the softer side. Combine is a straw walker.

harvest, i would hope winter prices would be slightly down but who knows , the price hike that happened was fake, turned out to be plenty of straw
