Why is straw so expensive this year? Supply and demand? Everything has be baled around this way. On the AHDB website they have barley at £54 and wheat £48 ton. That's £15/£20 up on last year one he the price for movement from the field.

I paying a little more and less in some districts . North Midlands is dearer and Cambridge down maybe due to power station demand

Baled with a Massey 185 series 2 with a cut chamber
80 cm x 70cm x 8 foot
Baled 19th June with no rain

£15.00 per bale ex farm
Located just off the A3 and not far from M27
 
I have 35 bales of 2016 round hay for sale. All excellent quality bales. Also 73 round bale haylage from 2016. Location. Hereford. £15 a bale for the hay and £10 for the haylage. Cheers.
